- ➤ Manes and Miracles, a local nonprofit, will host its first Cowboy Carnival on Saturday, June 14 at Ben Geren Park at 7200 Zero St where children will enjoy therapy horses, food trucks, games and carnival rides. - ➤ A tornado with winds of 95 to 105 mph hit Van Buren Friday at 8:30 a.m.—damaging more than 50 buildings, displacing about 30 families, and sending two people to hospitals as emergency crews begin rehouse efforts and collect donations. River Valley Democrat-Gazette

- ➤ Surveillance video from Sebastian County Jail shows inmate John Anthony Cole—a convicted killer awaiting court for a Fort Smith murder—attacked two deputies on May 9 with a makeshift metal shank, injuring both officers who later received treatment. 5 News
- ➤ A 25-year-old woman named Moriah J. Burrows was arrested Monday at 4:30 p.m. on the 700 block of Rogers Avenue for aggravated robbery after Fort Smith officers responded Sunday at 11:20 p.m. near North 19th and North Sixth streets when she, driving a silver Ford Flex, showed a gun and forced a victim to give cash—she was on active parole from a previous robbery—.
