- ➤ Two houses in Roland caught fire on Tuesday, leaving residents displaced; neighbors are collecting clothes, hygiene products, blankets and pet supplies to help those affected. CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Fort Smith Trolley Museum is seeking donations and volunteers to help restore trolley car No. 224, built in 1926, which is nearing 100 years and still gives rides around town — restoration work is needed for original wood and framing, and interested helpers may visit 100 S 4th St. 4029 News

- ➤ The Fort Smith School Board will vote on closing Spradling and Carnall elementary schools in January; Deputy Superintendent Tiffany Bone (who presented the proposal on Monday) said the decision remains under review. River Valley Democrat-Gazette
- ➤ Greenwood Board of Education approved the 2026-27 calendar and discussed expanding outdoor education during a meeting last Thursday (where East Point Elementary teacher Jill McMahan and six students presented plans) for a spring program. River Valley Democrat-Gazette
