EDUCATION NEWS

  • Representatives from Arkansas Nuclear One donated $5,000 to the ATU Women in STEM on Thursday, with students — including those from Fort Smith — accepting the gift to boost opportunities in science and math. The contribution supported their mission for academic and professional growth.  River Valley Democrat-Gazette
  • University of Arkansas at Fort Smith has received a $44,031 grant to purchase an AKTA go liquid chromatography system for teaching and research (funded by the Arkansas IDeA Network of Biomedical Research Excellence). The system will be installed in the Math-Science Building to provide hands-on training for 500 students.  River Valley Democrat-Gazette
