- ➤ The Arkansas Times Film Series will screen Running on Empty at Riverdale 10 VIP Cinema on Tuesday, November 18 at 7 p.m. Tickets cost $12 to $14 — the film follows a teen caught between his dreams and a life on the run with his fugitive family. Arkansas Times

- ➤ University of Arkansas – Fort Smith broke its attendance record on November 13th by drawing more than 600 high school students to Den Day—this event featured meetings with faculty and student groups as well as guided campus tours of new facilities. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ After the government shutdown ended, full SNAP benefits were paid to Arkansans by Thursday evening following a bill that reopened the government. Food pantries had seen a surge in demand during the delay, even as the governor sent $1 million to help meet the needs. Arkansas Times
- ➤ The Arkansas Department of Human Services announced Thursday full SNAP benefits for November will be available as early as midnight tonight—cards are scheduled to load late tonight into tomorrow while some employees have returned as related programs remain paused pending federal confirmation.
