  • The 2025 Veterans Day parade honoring 250 years of military service will take place on November 8 at 10:00 a.m. at 7313 Terry Street in the Chaffee Crossing Historic District — community members are encouraged to attend and celebrate together.  City of Fort Smith
  • Loved ones gathered on Nov.2 to celebrate Fort Smith resident Delema Eldridge’s 100th birthday as she recalled raising her children, traveling the world, and staying active through baking and exercise. She credited a long life to treating others kindly — advice she lived by every day.  5 News

  • Arkansas-based 7 Brew released its holiday lineup today with festive drinks like Candy Cane Mocha and Pecan Pie Breve available at Fort Smith and Van Buren drive-thru locations—marking the chain’s milestone of opening its 500th stand nationwide.  Southwest Times Record

  • Fort Smith residents may have heard F-35 jets since operations began on November 3 — the 188th Wing is conducting night flying training until November 14 under a Foreign Military Sales program.  5 News

  • Mansfield won its fifth volleyball title in six years with a four-set win over Harding Academy in the Class 3A finals, and Hackett swept Taylor 25-21, 25-13, 25-10 to capture the Class 2A championship.   • Sam Schlegel of Alma football is a dual-threat quarterback whose quick plays would have challenged legendary coach Delmer Moses — he is recognized as a special player who stands out on the field.  River Valley Democrat-Gazette
  • The University of the Ozarks inducted coaches C.B. ‘Cotton’ Havener and Dave De Hart into its Sports Hall of Fame during a ceremony. Havener, who won 2,270 basketball games at Mulberry High School, and De Hart, who led the men’s soccer team to a conference title and NCAA Division III appearance, join 74 honorees—marking a lasting impact on Arkansas sports.  Southwest Times Record
