CULTURE NEWS

  • River Valley Film Society announced Wednesday that the Fort Smith International Film Festival generated an economic impact of $260,000—attracting 1,083 guests and yielding 689 hotel room nights, a record for the event. The festival showcased films from over 30 countries and helped boost regional creative activity.  River Valley Democrat-Gazette

FINANCE NEWS

  • Fort Smith’s Adrian Falcon attended the Student Managed Investment Fund Consortium Conference in Chicago from Oct 9–10 to learn about global economic trends and risk management for ATU finance students — he and four peers joined sessions with Federal Reserve economists and toured key financial institutions to gain practical insights into investment strategies.
