GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ County parks employees and advisory board members met Monday to review park signage and discuss ways to update Sebastian County parks—signage was one of the main topics at the quarterly review meeting. Additional discussions covered the current state of the parks and plans for future improvements. River Valley Democrat-Gazette
- ➤ In Fort Smith, dozens of high school students gathered Monday night at the Peak Innovation Center for the first Mayor’s Youth Council — a new program that teaches civic leadership and local government through hands-on projects. The council, started by Southside High senior Madelyn Maxey and supported by Mayor George McGill, will meet monthly to work on community projects. 4029 News
