🚧 Accidents
U.S. Marshal Gary Grimes thanked Fort Smith emergency responders after a tractor accident on August 9 that flipped his tractor during a lake construction project — his quick air-evac to Washington Regional in Fayetteville prevented more serious injuries.
🎭 Culture
UAFS will open Glyphosate Dreams, a new exhibition by artist Karina Bitsicas, on Friday, Sept.
11 at the Windgate Art & Design Gallery. The show features photography, printmaking & video art that explore environmental and personal themes and is free during gallery hours.
🎓 Education
Former Southside principal Wayne Haver, who dedicated 48 years to FSPS (teacher, assistant principal, and principal), died Sunday at 83.
A celebration of life is scheduled for Friday at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church (1400 Grand Ave) in Fort Smith.
