- ➤ On Tuesday, the board voted 6-0 to repeal downtown parking meter rules and city staff began removing the unused meters by Thursday+ the resolution keeps a 30-minute parking limit near the courthouse and will not cost the city extra. River Valley Democrat-Gazette
- ➤ The 184th Attack Squadron — known as the Flying Razorbacks — was recognized as the nation’s top remotely piloted aircraft unit after receiving the General Atomics Remotely Piloted Aircraft Trophy from among 27 Air Force units. Sen. John Boozman visited Ebbing Air National Guard Base on Thursday to congratulate the squadron, and Lt. Col. Daniel Munoz said the unit carried out over 300 combat missions and provided nearly 6,000 hours of intelligence support in the past year. 4029 News
- ➤ The city and acting administrator Jeff Dingman agreed to pay $1,771.40 to settle a FOIA lawsuit brought by Marilyn Moore after records linked to a potential water supply for a proposed prison were not produced on time. The Fort Smith Board approved the settlement on Tuesday while Dingman apologized for the misstep—said to result from a communication breakdown. River Valley Democrat-Gazette
