- ➤ The Fort Smith Planning Department approved a door-to-door sales permit for Unwired, LLC — allowing representatives to visit homes from June 24 through July 8, Monday to Saturday between 8:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Residents are advised to report any aggressive behavior and to ask for proper credentials when approached. - ➤ Fort Smith police have identified 30-year-old Brennis Franklin as the suspect behind at least 25 vehicle break-ins between June 9 and June 11 and say he was last seen on Old Greenwood Rd in a white Nissan Altima with Nebraska license plate AVL 097—residents should call 911 if they spot him. 5 News

- ➤ City leaders reviewed consent decree work on Tuesday at Blue Lion by assessing over 10,000 manholes and 535 miles of sewer pipes with fixes planned at an estimated cost of nearly $654 million. Director Lance McAvoy said future updates will share key milestones and cost changes—steps to meet EPA and DOJ requirements. River Valley Democrat-Gazette
- ➤ Fort Smith and Sebastian County are combining 911 calls into one center to be run by the city with a board of local leaders overseeing the project—this will reduce call transfers during emergencies. The new FEMA-approved, storm-safe building will be built off Highway 71 South and must be ready by January 2027 at a cost of more than $10 million. 4029 News
