- ➤ On June 20th from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., booths and vendors will mark the 50th anniversary of Vietnamese refugees at Fort Chaffee in the Chaffee Crossing area with partial closures at Ellis and Ward. A fireworks show is planned around 9:30 p.m.—a portion of Fort Chaffee Boulevard will be closed from 9:15 to 9:45 p.m. City of Fort Smith
ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Fort Smith Police Department and Fire Department responded to a structure fire near North 46th and Armour on June 18 at 6:20 p.m.—officials said they are still determining the cause and advised residents to avoid the area until the scene is cleared. 5 News

- ➤ On Tuesday, the Fort Smith Board of Directors approved an ordinance to change the base rate for ambulance services so it matches new state legislation and corrected a parcel number error in an ordinance for a property on Belle Avenue—this action ensures city records and rates are accurate.
