- ➤ Fort Smith police are investigating a series of break-ins at local hotels and apartments that occurred this week—detectives released an image of a suspect from a June 11 incident at 3:55 a.m. and urged residents to secure valuables and report suspicious activity. 5 News
- ➤ A 32-year-old Fort Smith man pleaded not guilty to being the aggressor in a May 25 stabbing at HOPE Campus and will face trial the week of Nov. 17—witnesses stopped the attack, the victim had non-life-threatening injuries, and he remains in jail on a $150,000 bond. River Valley Democrat-Gazette
