A 25-year-old man from Alma faces trial on two capital murder charges next month — investigators say he claimed he had a business to handle after fatal shootings in 2023.

Fort Smith police are investigating a series of break-ins at local hotels and apartments that occurred this week—detectives released an image of a suspect from a June 11 incident at 3:55 a.m. and urged residents to secure valuables and report suspicious activity.

A 32-year-old Fort Smith man pleaded not guilty to being the aggressor in a May 25 stabbing at HOPE Campus and will face trial the week of Nov.
