A Fort Smith man was arrested Sunday at about 6:30 p.m. after a non-life-threatening stabbing occurred inside Hope Campus on 301 S.

E St.—32-year-old Wesley Underwood from North Sixth Street now faces one count of first degree battery and is held on a $150,000 bond.

The 92nd Annual Old Fort Days Rodeo is underway in Fort Smith from May 26 to May 31 with events such as bull riding, bareback riding, and calf roping, while Monday's parade (scheduled for 10 a.m. downtown) was canceled due to rain.

Fort Smith’s Molly Dunaway (a single mother and foster parent) has been chosen to represent Arkansas at the Miss Worldwide pageant on July 26 in Omaha where she will promote the 100 Families program that supports families in crisis.
