- ➤ Jean Renoir’s classic film Grand Illusion will be shown Tuesday, May 19 at Riverdale 10 VIP Cinema at 7 p.m. Tickets cost between $12 and $14, and the film was once banned in Italy and Germany while earning praise from President Roosevelt. Arkansas Times

- ➤ EPA confirmed a spill of 77,877 gallons of acidified aluminum sulfate at C&S Chemicals near Fort Smith did not reach the Poteau River — state and local teams now lead cleanup with crews using lime to help the creek’s pH return to normal. Southwest Times Record
