Two homes in Fort Smith suffered damage when storms hit on May 7; a tree fell through a house on North 47th Street and another struck a home on Cross Lane, while six power poles were knocked down — OG&E crews restored power for over 1,000 homes, and no injuries were reported.

Searchers combed the Mulberry River north of Mill Creek on Thursday for a kayaker reported missing Saturday in Franklin County—officials from the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, the Franklin County Sheriff's Office and other agencies are leading the search.
