- ➤ The Learning Fields at Chaffee Crossing at 7300 Gardener Ave in Fort Smith will host a spring plant sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday — featuring houseplants, vegetables and crafts that support its free educational programs, and May workshops will offer plant propagation and companion planting tips. - ➤ Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders has launched a fitness challenge for Arkansas students that runs through May 22 to prepare for the returning Presidential Fitness Test next school year. - ➤ UAFS and UAMS signed an agreement today that creates fast-track pathways for Fort Smith graduates to 14 UAMS health programs, offering qualified students guaranteed interviews, priority review (or automatic admission) and paving the way for a strengthened local health care workforce.
