- ➤ At approximately 7:41 PM on April 9, Fort Smith police responded to a shooting at Foxfire Club on N. 10th St and discovered two victims who later died while detectives identified 45-year-old Nephesh Ruach from Spiro, Okla as the armed suspect—residents are urged not to approach him and to call 911 if they have information—the investigation is ongoing. - ➤ Fort Smith police are searching for 52-year-old Leanne Ridings—measuring 5'5" and around 130 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes—who was last seen in jeans and a Gary Richrath shirt as her family said she is endangered due to health reasons. 5 News

- ➤ Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders signed House Bill 1633, which regulates high school athlete transfers by requiring 10th grade students who transfer after June 1 to sit out varsity sports for 365 days+the law takes effect immediately and exempts transfers due to bona fide moves and hardship cases. 5 News
