- ➤ A crash on I-540 at Exit 5 in Fort Smith disrupted southbound traffic on April 4 during heavy rain—more severe weather was expected and crews remained on scene with no reported injuries as of 8:16 a.m. 5 News
- ➤ City officials reported a water main break caused by a lightning strike occurred in Fianna Hills on Friday morning and Utility crews began repairs near Fianna Way — Dundee Drive as residents experienced low water pressure and were advised to take extra care when driving through the area. - ➤ Each year, ruby-throated hummingbirds arrive in Arkansas between mid-March and late April to power their long journey. Local experts advise planting native flowers such as trumpet vine, bee balm and cardinal flower and keeping feeders filled with a sugar-water solution—four parts water to one part sugar and no red dye—to give the birds energy to continue their migration. 5 News
