- ➤ A Fort Smith man, John A. Bailey, 52, was arrested on March 18 in connection with a hit-and-run on March 17 at Tennessee Ridge Road that injured motorcyclist Warren Campbell who later died—he now faces a negligent homicide charge. River Valley Democrat-Gazette

EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The University of Arkansas at Fort Smith has launched the Tuition and Mandatory Fee Guarantee which will cover the remainder of tuition and mandatory fees for eligible students after they apply for federal and state aid. The program automatically considers full-time, degree-seeking students who receive a federal Pell Grant and the Arkansas Academic Challenge Scholarship—fall and spring fees will then be fully covered.
