The 2026 Steel Horse Rally volunteer meeting is set for 10 a.m. today at the Courtyard by Marriott in downtown Fort Smith.

Volunteers 18+ can join to learn about tasks, door prizes and Unsung Hero nomination details available through March 31.

Harps Food Stores, an employee-owned chain from Springdale, will acquire 18 Dyer Foods locations in western Tennessee including one in Fulton, Kentucky.

The deal is expected to complete by summer while store operations and staff remain largely unchanged.
