  • Eight regional industry employees from ABB and Butterball completed an Advanced Programmable Logic Controller training course at ATU-Ozark, earning 18 SACA Industry 4.0 certifications from hands-on instruction by automation expert Cody Harkness — a credential boost for local manufacturers — which supports workforce development.  River Valley Democrat-Gazette

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The Fort Smith Board of Directors will review contracts for new Parrot Island waterslides, mosquito fogging and park upgrades Tuesday at the Blue Lion. City officials also plan to approve a management agreement and key water and sewer projects on the consent agenda.  Southwest Times Record

  • The Conway Wampus Cats defeated Fort Smith Southside 1-0 in the Clarksville Invitational Tournament championship game on Saturday in Clarksville — Bryant junior forward Mohamed Dicko, playing his third game of the day, scored his second goal of the season.  River Valley Democrat-Gazette
