CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Deadline announced that the Oscar-nominated Brent Renaud documentary is being adapted into a narrative feature film by Arkansas filmmaker Jay Russell with Craig Renaud writing the script. The film will trace the brothers’ journey from local roots to global conflict zones. Arkansas Times
- ➤ Arkansas-born filmmaker Jeff Nichols is calling for local cast and crew for his film King Snake, providing about 40 paid positions. Production begins on March 15 and runs through June 30 (applications accepted for roles from stand-ins to cast assistants). 5 News
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ UAFS offers $3 million in donor-funded scholarships through the Lion’s Share portal with the application cycle running from Oct. 2025 until June 1 to help students secure financial aid for the 2026-27 school year (students must use their UAFS account) and officials urge early completion. - ➤ UAFS will host Transfer With Pride events to help transfer students learn about admissions, scholarships, and credit transfers on March 10 at UA-PTC and March 17 at UA Cossatot.
