- ➤ Fort Smith officials are reworking plans for Parrot Island waterslides after construction bids far exceeded the budget. A revised proposal estimates installation at $2.34 million plus $350,000 for improvements, leaving a $925,000 shortfall that may be filled by delaying other parks projects, which will be discussed today at Blue Lion.
