- ➤ A local developer will break ground on Garrison Ave at 3 p.m. Jan. 12 to rebuild Bricktown Brewery after two 2024 fires made the building unfit for use. The new design includes a bar and event space (Adelaide Hall) and is set to open in January 2027. 5 News

- ➤ The Fort Smith Regional Art Museum will open two new exhibitions on Jan. 16 highlighting local artist John Bell, Jr. and Ozark Regionalist art, with a joint reception (free with light refreshments) from 5 to 7 p.m. as the shows run through May 10. Southwest Times Record
