- ➤ Fort Smith Police responded on April 5 to a vehicle accident at Kelley Highway and North Albert Pike that caused non-life-threatening injuries and led to traffic delays until the scene was cleared—drivers were asked to consider alternate routes. City of Fort Smith

- ➤ Lee Creek Park and boat ramps remain closed due to flooding and damage to the buoy line—local officials said they are working on repairs. They will update residents on reopening plans when safety is ensured. City of Fort Smith
- ➤ On Saturday morning, a flood warning was in effect for Lee Creek near Van Buren in Crawford and Sequoyah counties as water levels reached 409.8 feet, above the 401-foot flood stage. Crawford County first responders made a swift water rescue Friday night after flooding led to road closures and urged residents to avoid dangerous travel. 4029 News

- ➤ Baptist Health-Fort Smith announced Friday it added the Ion robotic bronchoscopy system to help diagnose and treat lung cancer in the River Valley — the system performs minimally invasive lung biopsies for hard-to-reach nodules. Dr. Arturo Meade and Dr. Muthukumar Radhakrishnan will operate the device at Baptist Health Lung Center-Fort Smith to enable earlier detection and treatment. River Valley Democrat-Gazette
